Follow these steps to securely link your bank account to your UMA account.
Connecting your bank allows you to use your UMA for payments and transfers, depending on availability in your region.
Step 1: Log in to your UMA account
- Visit https://app.uma.money/login
- Log in with your email and password.
Step 2: Go to Settings
Once logged in, navigate to Settings in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
Step 3: Connect Your Bank
Scroll down to the section labeled Connect your bank.
Click the blue “Connect bank” button.
Step 4: Choose Your Bank Linking Method
The process for linking your bank account depends on your country:
United States: UMA uses Plaid, a secure third-party service, to connect your bank account.
Follow the on-screen instructions to select your bank and sign in securely using your online banking credentials.
You may be asked to verify your identity with a code (2FA).
Mexico: You’ll be asked to enter your CLABE number (the 18-digit bank account identifier).
Double-check that the CLABE you provide is accurate to ensure your account can receive transfers.
European Union: You’ll be asked to enter your IBAN (International Bank Account Number).
Confirm that your IBAN is entered correctly to link your account successfully.
Step 5: Complete the Connection
After your bank details have been verified, click Continue.
Once confirmed, your bank account will be securely connected to your UMA account.
You’re all set!
Your bank connection is now active. You can start using your UMA account to send or receive payments, depending on the features available in your country.
