Creating an UMA Account (EUR)

Follow these steps to set up your UMA account and connect your bank so you can start sending and receiving money.

Step 1: Select Your Language

• At the top right corner of the UMA homepage, click on the globe icon next to “Get UMA.”

• From the dropdown menu, select your preferred language

Step 2: Start Your Registration

• Once your language is selected, click “Get UMA” in the top right corner.

• You’ll be prompted to select your country then, click “Get Started.”
  
  

Step 3: Verify Your Phone Number

• Enter your mobile number and make sure to select the country code from the dropdown list.

• Click Continue.

• You’ll receive a 6-digit verification code via SMS. Enter it and click Submit.

Step 4: Select Your Bank Country

• Next, you’ll be asked to select where your bank is located.

• Choose your country and click Continue.

Step 5: Create Your UMA Account

• Enter the first and last name on your ID, your email address, and create a password.

• Click Continue.

• Then, create your UMA address — this is the unique name you’ll use to send and receive money.

• If your preferred name is unavailable, try a variation and click Continue.
  

Step 6: Verify Your Email 

• Next you will see the prompt to verify your email to continue. Click the option to “Open email app” which will then take you to your email inbox. Click the link in the email to verify your account

• Return to UMA and select “Agree and continue”

Step 6: Activate Your UMA

• To start using UMA, you’ll need to verify your identity and connect your bank. Click “Continue.”

• ⚠️ You must complete this verification step in order to send or receive funds.

Step 7: Confirm Your Information

• Next, confirm the following details:

  • Nationality

  • Date of Birth

  • Citizenship

  • Country of residence

  • Address

• Click Continue after each step.

Step 8: Verification Process

• UMA will then request to verify your information with documentation

• Agree to the terms and conditions by selecting “Agree and continue”

• Select the type and issuing country of your identity document and select “continue” or “continue on phone”

• You will then be prompted to either scan a QR code from your mobile device or open the link in a seperate browser to continue verification

Step 9: Link your UMA to your bank account

• After your verification is complete, you will then be prompted to link your UMA to your bank account

• Enter your IBAN for your bank and select continue

Step 10: You’re All Set!

• The verification will then begin.This process typically takes up to 30 seconds, but in some cases may take a bit longer. If there’s a delay, you’ll receive a notification once verification is complete.

• Once verification is complete, you can start using your UMA account to send and receive money!
