If you need to replace or change the bank connected to your UMA account, follow these steps.
Updating your bank ensures your UMA account remains active and ready to use for payments and transfers, depending on the availability in your region.
Step 1: Log in to your UMA account
Log in with your email and password.
Step 2: Go to Settings
Once logged in, navigate to Settings in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
Step 3: Open Payment Settings
Scroll down to the Payment settings section.
Click the blue “Replace” button to begin updating your bank connection.
Step 4: Add Your New Bank Details
The process for adding your new bank depends on your country:
United States: UMA uses Plaid, a secure third-party service, to connect your bank account.
A Plaid window will appear.
Choose your financial institution and follow the prompts to connect your new account.
You may be asked to verify your identity with a one-time code (2FA).
Mexico: You’ll be asked to enter your CLABE number (the 18-digit bank account identifier).
Double-check that the CLABE is accurate to ensure successful deposits.
European Union: You’ll be asked to enter your IBAN (International Bank Account Number).
Confirm your IBAN is entered correctly before continuing.
Step 5: Complete Verification
Once your new bank details are verified, click Continue to complete the process.
Step 6: Confirm New Bank Connection
Your new bank account will now appear under Payment settings in your UMA dashboard.
Your UMA account is now ready to use with your updated bank connection.
