This article covers how to link a bank account to your UMA account for the first time, and how to replace or update your bank connection if needed.
⚠️ UMA supports instant payments only. You must connect a bank or payment account that supports instant payment rails in your region. Non-instant (standard or delayed) transfer methods are not supported.
How to Link Your Bank Account (First Time)
Step 1: Log In to Your UMA Account
- Visit app.uma.money/login.
- Log in with your email and password.
Step 2: Go to Settings
- Navigate to Settings in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
Step 3: Connect Your Bank
- Scroll down to the section labeled Connect your bank.
- Click the "Connect bank" button.
Step 4: Enter Your Bank Details
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your bank. The method will depend on your country — common options include signing in through a secure bank portal, or entering a local bank account identifier (such as an account number, CLABE, or IBAN). Enter your details carefully to ensure deposits are successful.
⚠️ If your bank or country does not appear as an option, it may not be supported yet. Submit a support ticket and our team can confirm what's available in your region.
Step 5: Complete the Connection
- After your bank details are verified, click Continue.
- Your bank account is now securely connected to your UMA account. You're ready to send and receive payments.
How to Replace or Update Your Bank Connection
If you need to update the bank account connected to your UMA account, follow these steps.
Step 1: Log In to Your UMA Account
- Visit app.uma.money/login and log in.
Step 2: Go to Settings
- Navigate to Settings in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
Step 3: Open Payment Settings
- Scroll down to the Payment settings section.
- Click the "Replace" button to begin updating your bank connection.
Step 4: Enter Your New Bank Details
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your new bank. The method will depend on your country — common options include signing in through a secure bank portal, or entering a local bank account identifier (such as an account number, CLABE, or IBAN). Double-check your details carefully before continuing.

Step 5: Confirm Your New Bank Connection
- Once your new bank details are verified, click Continue.
- Your updated bank account will now appear under Payment settings in your UMA dashboard.
